Youth in Government Success
Our Youth In Government delegate was hard at work last week at the State Capital. Of their 26 bills written and debated, 13 were signed by the Youth Governor, CHS senior Ethan Ransford. In addition to governor, several additional CHS students served in leadership roles including, Speaker of the House-Luke Joslyn, Chief of Staff-Molly Salgat, Committee Chair-Dani Dise, Committee Clerk-Maddie Stefanovsky, Secretary of the Senate-Kaydin Stewart, and Delegation Leaders-Audrey Fisch and Landon Stine.
27 students in total represented CHS well and grew in their knowledge and passion for government. We are so thankful to our fearless YIG leaders, Mrs. Gierman, Mr. Galbraith, and Mr. Palmer, for preparing our students well and sharing in this experience with them.
Our delegate is proudly returning with several accolades and even more memories. Congrats to Luke Herron, awarded the best representative of the Blue House, Ethan Ransford and Luke Joslyn, chosen as CONA representatives, and yet another Youth Governor from CHS in Luke Joslyn who will represent not just CHS but the entire State of Michigan in 2026.

High school choir members had the opportunity to join SVSU and 3 other High School choirs last week for their choir festival. It was a long day full of wonderful music making! Our Caro kids made us proud!
Caro junior Connor McGarry was able to achieve a career milestone last week. The junior scored his 1,000th career point in a 46-41 win over M-81 Rival Cass City. He became just the fourth Caro Tiger to break the 1,000-point threshold. Two games later, he became the school’s all-time leading scorer. For his efforts, he’s been named the Thumb Sportswriters Association Boys Basketball Player of the Week!
